Episode 141: Demystify and Simplify Pregnancy, Birth, and Postpartum Insights from Local Doula Madi Yates

Hey Mamas!

In our latest podcast episode, we interviewed Madi Yates, Owner of GVL Doula Besties. Madi is a South Carolina native who loves giving back to the community that raised her. Madi is a Birth & Postpartum Doula, Placenta Encapsulator, Women’s Health Advocate and Embroidery Enthusiast.

In the episode we discuss how Madi was an emergency cesarean with her mom and this has had an impact on why she has chosen to pursue becoming a doula. Her journey of becoming a doula has been beneficial for mamas in the area and specifically has been a healing experience shared between her and her mother.

With the overwhelm of information and wanting to do all things “right” it can be important to remember to set priorities and cut yourself some slack when entering motherhood. This is another reason while having a doula by your side in this journey can be helpful. We’re able to help you weed through the massive amount of information and simplify the process for you. Learning to trust your intuition and gaining a deeper understanding of yourself is a process we love guiding mamas through.

Listen in to hear how having a doula can help demystify and simplify birth and postpartum and how you can make exercise and nutrition manageable, realistic and accessible along your motherhood journey.
