In this episode we talk with Elizabeth Andreyevskiy about how burnout shows up in motherhood, how it affects us, and how we can avoid it. Elizabeth is a stress coach for moms. She is the host of the Emotionally Healthy Legacy podcast and a mom of 4. Elizabeth is super passionate about mental health and emotional wellness in motherhood. She helps overwhelmed moms reduce the mental stress so they can respond with patience and calm towards their kids. She teaches proactive ways to be less stressed, prioritizing moms needs without guilt and ways to regulate emotions when feeling triggered.

In order to help avoid burn out, we first have to understand how burnout shows up. Burnout can present in our lives through physical, mental, and emotional struggles. When your brain has unmet needs such as sleep depression and hunger it shuts off parts of our brain and we can have a hard time emotionally regulating our emotions. Out brain becomes focused on our unmet needs. So, what can we do to make life easier?

3 ways to avoid burnout in motherhood!

  • Knowing The Season You Are In

    • Give yourself grace

    • Let go and say no to things that don’t serve you

    • Delegate and delete things off your list

  • Ask For Help

    • You can do anything but you can’t do everything at once

    • You may need to adjust your previous schedule

    • See it as blessing someone who wants to help you

  • Focus on Self-Care

    • Personal hygiene

    • Getting some extra sleep

    • Wear your favorite outfit
